SEND Student Support Worker required

SEND Student Support Worker required focuses on ·provide one-on-one support to students with send, assisting them with academic tasks, personal care, and social integration.

What the role involves

• ·Provide one-on-one support to students with SEND, assisting them with academic tasks, personal care, and social integration.
• ·Work closely with teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and accommodations to meet students' specific needs.
• ·Support students with developing essential skills such as communication, independence, and self-regulation.
• ·Assist with the assessment and monitoring of student progress, recording and reporting on achievements and areas for development.
• ·Collaborate with parents, external professionals, and other members of the school community to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
• ·Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and social interaction among students.

Skills and requirements

• ·Previous experience working with students with SEND or in a similar support role is highly desirable.
• ·Knowledge of different types of SEND, as well as strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
• ·Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• ·Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning and succeed.
