SEND Support Worker
Job description
This Support Worker role is focused on supporting create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all. It would suit someone who can bring patience, clear communication, and respectful care standards to the role.
Who the work supports
SEND Support Worker Key Responsibilities: Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support for pupils aged from 4 – 19 years old with a range of PMLD. Support with the delivery of Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) Encourage emotional wellbeing, communication and social development.
How support shows up
Supporting with personal care if and when required: Moving and Handling, Toileting, PEG Feeding, etc. (training provided). Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all. Communicate clearly and respectfully with teachers, other school staff and external professionals.
The approach that fits
Handling shift-by-shift responsibilities with consistency and care. A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
What needs to be in place
- Previous experience adminstering personal care is advantaegous.
