What the role involves

• Prospero Teaching is seeking a committed SEND Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to pupils in or around Huntingdon who have additional learning and behavioural needs.
• Deliver bespoke lessons aimed at bridging learning gaps, boosting confidence, and helping students reconnect with education.
• Delivering tailored one-to-one tuition sessions based on each student’s individual needs.
• Provide support in core subjects including Maths, English, and Science.
• Encourage confidence, independence, and effective study habits.
• Provide feedback to parents/carers where required.

Skills and requirements

• Many of the pupils you support may have been away from mainstream education for some time, so a patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach is essential.
• QTS, equivalent teaching qualification, or relevant learning support experience.
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring students.
• Strong understanding of the PMY/SEC curriculum.
