Skills and requirements

• Right now, we are looking for Specialist Tutors who have experience supporting students 1:1 or in small group sessions with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Spennymoor.
• Your background might include tutoring or classroom experience-either way, your existing skills should be adaptable to a focused 1:1 learning environment.

Confirmed role details

• Type of work – Contract.
• Full-time/part-time availability, ranging from 6-15hours p/w per student.
• Up to £30 per hour (negotiable).
• Support students with SEND through individual and small group sessions, developing self-confidence, independence, practical life skills, community awareness, and basic food prepara.

Additional role context

• Tuition is typically scheduled for a set number of hours each week, ranging from 1 to 15 hours, and is ideally delivered during school hours.
• Either within the student’s home or in the community (learning hub/library).
• Duration – Until the pupil is able to find a suitable school placement.
