Senior Accountant job in Local Government Finance £42 -50K, hybrid working, public sector benefits Your new company An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant to join a Local Authority within the Corporate Finance team.This is a key role supporting the Head of Corporate Finance, providing high‑quality financial advice, contributing to statutory accounts, and support with the delivery of robust financial controls in line with local government legislation and accounting standards.This role would suit a qualified AAT or part‑qualified CCAB accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with experience in local government finance, ideally in financial reporting.Your new role Key Responsibilities:Supporting the council’s financial cycle, year‑end closure and statutory reporting.
