Senior Analytical Chemist/Mass Spectrometry Scientist focuses on lead validation programmes, and take ownership of advanced analytical platforms within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

What the role involves

  • Lead validation programmes, and take ownership of advanced analytical platforms within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
  • Lead method development, optimisation and validation (ICH Q2(R2)), working with complex matrices including oils and botanical extracts.
  • Supporting computer system validation (CSV) for analytical software platforms.
  • Act as technical lead for mass spectrometry capability within the laboratory.

Skills and requirements

  • Lead instrument qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and lifecycle management.
  • MSc/PhD in Analytical Chemistry (or BSc with substantial GMP experience).
  • Proven experience in LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS method development and troubleshooting.
  • Experience using analytical software such as Lab Solutions, MassHunter, Xcalibur, Empower or Chromeleon.
