Senior Android Systems Engineer focuses on maintain custom aosp images for containerised android environments.

What the role involves

  • Maintain custom AOSP images for containerised Android environments.
  • Own and improve Android build pipelines, tooling, signing, and image lifecycle management.
  • Develop reproducible, scalable, and secure Android platform builds.
  • Optimise platform performance including boot time, graphics performance, memory usage, and session density.
  • Supporting Android application integration, runtime configuration, and compatibility management.
  • Maintain platform security hardening including SELinux policies, attestation, signing, and verification.

Skills and requirements

  • This role requires the successful candidate to be eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance.
  • Have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5 years.
  • Not have spent more than 6 months outside the UK in total during that period.
  • Be willing to undergo security vetting as part of the onboarding process.
