Senior Associate Director HV Cable System Design Engineer

EHV transmission voltages is looking for a Senior Associate Director HV Cable System Design Engineer, with the role focused on leading the design delivery for Cable System Projects up to 400kV, from the tendering stage through to project handover. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.

What the work leans on

Your impact Jacobs is playing a leading role in the global energy transition. High voltage AIS and GIS Substations, transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, and energy storage systems.

Engineering work involved

• Lead the design delivery for Cable System Projects up to 400kV, from the tendering stage through to project handover.
• Design review, estimation, site supervision.
• Provide technical support to the team on all aspects of HV cable system engineering.

Technical skills and requirements

• Test plans are completed as required by the PMP.
• Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Power Engineering.
• Previous experience with consultancy, contractor or utility in the energy sector.
