Senior Associate Director HV Cable System Design Engineer focuses on lead the design delivery for cable system projects up to 400kv, from the tendering stage through to project handover.

What the role involves

• Lead the design delivery for Cable System Projects up to 400kV, from the tendering stage through to project handover.
• Design review, estimation, site supervision.
• Provide technical support to the team on all aspects of HV cable system engineering.
• Preparing plant and equipment technical specification, power cable route specifications, tender specifications, technical and progress reports.
• Preparing written risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works.
• Lead HV/EHV cable designs at all projects stages.

Skills and requirements

• Test plans are completed as required by the PMP.
• Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Power Engineering.
• Extensive experience in a cable related role supporting FEED design and/or detailed design.
• Experience in the design of HV and EHV cable systems, for both HVAC and HVDC systems.
