Main responsibilities

Coordinating transaction due diligence and execution work streams with third party advisers and legal counsels. Preparing internal transaction approval memos and collaborate with credit risk and other control functions throughout transaction lifecycle. Underwrite, structure and execute structured financings of specialty finance RE platforms and portfolio of RE backed loans.

Requirements

• Research asset classes and markets relevant to potential or existing transactions to form trading views and inform transaction underwriting, structuring and risk management.
• At least 4-5 years or equivalent of structured finance underwriting experience in an investment bank or a buy-side outfit.
• Strong understanding of real estate / mortgage backed loans essential; relevant experience in warehouse / portfolio / NPL financing desirable.
