What the role involves

• Delivering allocated projects on time and within budget.
• Update structural records using client-approved structures management systems.
• Leading the financial and technical performance of allocated schemes.
• Oversee robust risk assessments for all works, inspections, and operations.
• Liaise with clients, auditors, and external stakeholders.
• Managing the outline and detailed design of bridge projects.

Skills and requirements

• Educated to degree level in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Relevant experience in the design and maintenance of highway bridge structures.
• A full approved UK driving licence.
• Clear communicator with good technical/report writing skills.

Candidate fit

• Maintain over 1422km of Scotland’s trunk road network, tackling just about every imaginable task and working round the clock to keep Scotland moving.
• Maintain over 1422km of Scotland’s trunk road network including 1422 trunk road structures in the North West of Scotland for our client, Transport Scotland.
