Senior Capital Actuary

Senior Capital Actuary focuses on ·responsible for the production and presentation to senior management of the xlb standard formula (bscr) and such other analysis on this basis as may be required to support busines.

What the role involves

• ·Responsible for the production and presentation to senior management of the XLB Standard formula (BSCR) and such other analysis on this basis as may be required to support busines.
• Maintaining robust analyses of the ceded reinsurance programme.
• Review and challenge the parameters and modelling outputs.
• ·Communicate the output and methodology with other parts of AXA XL, including those with a non-technical background.
• ·Develop and optimise the model output shared with key model stakeholders.
• Ensure these are fit for purpose, meet the requirements of the business and used appropriately.

Skills and requirements

• ·Demonstrable track record in capital modelling or other simulation-based modelling role.
• ·Curious, inquisitive, innovative and open to new ideas.
• ·Highly numerate and analytical with very good academic record.
• ·SQL and R coding skills beneficial.
