What the role involves
- As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be expected to lead a team to successfully manage.
- Leading the successful delivery of cost/commercial management services on multi-disciplinary Transmission, Distribution and Power Systems projects.
- Client-side cost/commercial management, including stakeholder, risk, and contract management.
- Ensure projects and commissions are delivered to the satisfaction of the client for budget management.
- Manage the cost/commercial management team ensuring appropriate resources are provided on projects, meeting the client and business requirements.
- Actively manage contractors and subcontractors’ payments and final accounts in accordance with contract conditions.
Skills and requirements
- Highly competent in the use of NEC suite of contracts, particularly the Professional Services Contract (PSC) and Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC).
- Experience of working as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams.
- Relationship building skills –ability to build strong relationships with clients, teams, and stakeholders as well as an ability to build.
- Experience of working with NGET business processes, supplier requirements, national development process 500.

- A relevant degree such as quantity surveying or relevant equivalent.
- Strong history in both contract (NEC3 and 4) and cost/commercial management.
