Senior Counsel

Legal Counsel focuses on advise regional personnel with respect to compliance policies, customer and vendor relations, contract matters, regulatory issues.

What the role involves

• Advise regional personnel with respect to compliance policies, customer and vendor relations, contract matters, regulatory issues.
• Assisting in merger and acquisition activity.
• Provide general advice to senior management of the region and other regional managers on a day-to-day basis.
• Provide advice and guidance for the accomplishment of the overall business objectives in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide informed cost-benefit analysis when identifying risks.

Skills and requirements

• Qualified lawyer, admitted to the Bar (preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of transactional/commercial law experience with a combination of large law firms and/or in-house pharmaceutical experience.
• A record of outstanding academic achievement at the university and professional training levels.
• Manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.

Additional role context

• Currently, the Legal and Compliance Department is comprised of 55 members, including 33 lawyers.
• The Senior Counsel will be an important member of the Legal and Compliance Department, providing direct support to the Company’s Pharma & Consumer Health business which has 23 site.
• Support on contract interpretation, business disputes, procurement, personnel matters, and real estate issues, as well as legal training for the commercial sales function.
