Senior Design Engineer

Senior Design Engineer focuses on design solutions using nx cad and simulation software for innovation projects for products, systems and solutions, liaising with suppliers on specialist equipment design to support.

What the role involves

• Design solutions using NX CAD and simulation software for innovation projects for products, systems and solutions, liaising with suppliers on specialist equipment design to support.
• Develop new products with improved performance specifications.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant technical, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, gas, plumbing, or engineering experience may be required.

Confirmed role details

• Initiate work, in agreement with staff, to meet the product specification.
• Ensuring compliance with Product Development protocols e.g.
• Standards, Company Quality system.
• Exchange relevant knowledge across all Technology departments and to manage key interaction between design and suppliers.

Candidate fit

• Designer with a proven record in developing 3D products for industrial design.
• 5+ years’ experience using NX (preferred), Solidworks, or equivalent CAD software.
• An understanding of the processes involved in a design and production environment.

Additional role context

• Experience working with many materials.
• Good interpersonal and team working skills with an awareness of different cultures.
• The ability to learn quickly when working to tight time scales.
