Senior Design Engineer

Senior Design Engineer focuses on translate customer requirements into clear, accurate, and manufacturable engineering drawings and technical documentation.

What the role involves

• Translate customer requirements into clear, accurate, and manufacturable engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Maintain 2D/3D CAD models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Act as a key interface between customers, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure design requirements are understood and executed.
• Drive improvements in drawing quality, standardisation, and engineering processes.
• Supporting Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities.
• Managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering change requests, and documentation within PLM/ERP systems.

Skills and requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years' experience in design engineering or drafting within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Advanced SolidWorks experience, including part modelling, assemblies, and technical drawing creation.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawing standards (ASME/ISO).
