• Design for planning, feasibility studies etc. of energy storage systems including associated grid connections, control and metering.
• Undertake Front End Engineering Design (FEED).

Skills and requirements

• Previous experience with consultancy, contractor, equipment manufacturer or electrical utility in the energy sector. Suitable experience as FEED designer, detailed design or owner’.
• Knowledge of grid connection requirements for renewable generation and energy storage, including G59, G99 etc.
• Good understanding of electrical plant items and control systems such as transformers, cables, circuit breakers, HV Protection & Control.

Additional role context

• Our T&D team delivers HV design for electrical power projects at transmission and distribution voltage levels.
• The focus of this role is renewables and energy storage, grid connections, and private networks at voltage levels normally between 11kV to 400kV.
• Project management experience (incl. budget, time and quality).
