Senior Engineer focuses on manage all civils and infrastructure works within your area of responsibility, including subcontract and third-party activities.

What the role involves

  • Manage all civils and infrastructure works within your area of responsibility, including subcontract and third-party activities.
  • Maintain detailed 3-week look-ahead programmes, monitoring progress against contract programme and reporting variances with recovery plans.
  • Managing and mentor junior site engineers, overseeing their workloads and development.
  • Ensure all permits, inductions, task briefs and site documentation are in place and approved before works commence.
  • Maintaining compliance with legal, company, and project-specific HSQE requirements.
  • Report incidents, near misses and non-compliances promptly.

Skills and requirements

  • Experience working within a nuclear, MOD, or other highly regulated/security-controlled environment is highly desirable.

Confirmed role details

  • Solid understanding of construction standards, temporary works, and quality assurance processes.
  • Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience.
  • Permanent position with long-term programme security.

Candidate fit

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate junior staff.
