Senior Field Materials Technician focuses on supported by highly skilled technicians, engineers and consultants, we provide both laboratory and on-site testing, sampling, inspection and investigation services across the uk.

What the role involves

• Supported by highly skilled technicians, engineers and consultants, we provide both laboratory and on-site testing, sampling, inspection and investigation services across the UK.
• With a strong focus on customer service, technical excellence and innovation, we help our clients deliver safer, smarter and more sustainable construction projects.
• Also provide leadership and guidance to field-based teams, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.
• Conduct on-site testing of construction materials (concrete, asphalt, soil, etc.) according to UK industry standards (BS, EN, ASTM).
• Perform tests including plate bearing tests, DCP’s, HSV’s, NDG’s, various asphalt related testing and concrete cube making.
• Record and evaluate material performance, ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Skills and requirements

• 5-7 years of field-based experience in materials testing, with 2+ years in a senior technician role.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead a team of technicians.
