About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Finance Officer to support the delivery of an effective and high-quality finance service. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting decision-making, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and complete financial records in line with statutory and regulatory requirements Support financial controls and monitoring systems to safeguard organisational interests Collect, process, and analyse financial data to support decision-making Assist in the preparation and delivery of financial and management information Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Contribute to business planning, budgeting, and financial management processes Support team development, including involvement in recruitment and performance management Participate in projects and initiatives that support organisational objectives Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a finance-related role Strong ability to analyse data and solve problems effectively Experience working to deadlines and managing competing priorities Good understanding of financial regulations and current practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to extract and interpret data from financial systems Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (intermediate level), Word, and PowerPoint Qualifications
AAT qualification (or working towards) Good standard of numeracy and literacy (equivalent to GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths) Additional Information
