Senior Financial Accountant focuses on leading the preparation of statutory accounts and consolidated financial statements.

What the role involves

• Leading the preparation of statutory accounts and consolidated financial statements.
• Overseeing consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, and audit working papers.
• Managing regulatory reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Overseeing VAT, corporation tax, and wider tax compliance activities.
• Coordinating the external audit process and act as a key contact for external advisors.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant finance, accounts, payroll, Excel, bookkeeping, or accounting-system experience may be required.

Candidate fit

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Strong technical financial accounting experience, including statutory reporting and consolidations.
• Experience within the education, charity, or wider not-for-profit sector.
