• The council is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Fire Risk Assessor to provide high-level, specialist fire safety expertise.
• Delivering expert assessments that support the council’s legal obligations and resident safety.

Skills and requirements

• Review contractor reports, fire safety documentation, and technical drawings where required.
• Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification (, IFSM, FireQual, or equivalent recognised accreditation).
• Extensive experience conductingplex FRAs across residential and/or public sector buildings.

• This role requires a seasoned fire safety professional who can quickly integrate into the organisation, work autonomously.
• Highly self‑directed, reliable, and able to deliver results with minimal supervision.

Additional role context

• Undertake detailed site inspections, evaluate fire safety measures, and identify deficiencies requiring remedial action.
• Produce clear,pliant FRA reports aligned with PAS 79 methodology and local authority standards.
• Leading on thepletion ofplex and high‑priority Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) across housing, corporate buildings,munity assets, and high-risk premises.
