Senior Flood Modeller

The Senior Flood Modeller position centres on developing water quality models (which could be physico-chemical, biological, bacterial, or chemical) using industry standard software e.g. e.g. MIKE, Delft3D, SIMCAT and / or ICM). Likely focus of the role

• Develop water quality models (which could be physico-chemical, biological, bacterial, or chemical) using industry standard software e.g. e.g. MIKE, Delft3D, SIMCAT and / or ICM).
• Undertaking and checking hydrological assessments including Flood Estimation Handbook, ReFH2 and WINFAP.
• Developing and checking hydraulic models (using packages to such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, Mike 11, Mike 21, HEC-RAS and ICM) to assist the design of Flood Alleviation Schemes, de.

Requirements mentioned

• Evidence of significant experience in hydraulic and water quality modelling software (such as Mike, ICM, SIMCAT, Flood Modeller and/ or TUFLOW).
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline.
• Basic understanding of physico-chemical water quality and the associated regulatory standards for fresh waters.
