Senior Geophysical Engineer focuses on manage offshore geophysical site investigation activities across operational offshore wind assets.
What the role involves
- Manage offshore geophysical site investigation activities across operational offshore wind assets.
- Supporting the development of survey strategies, scopes of work, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Managing external consultants and Owner’s Engineers responsible for survey management, offshore representation, and data quality control.
- Provide technical expertise on survey methodologies, acquisition techniques, and equipment selection.
- Supporting tendering activities, technical evaluations, and contractual negotiations for survey packages.
- Supporting seabed and sub-seabed risk management relating to cables, scour, scour protection, and turbine maintenance activities.
Skills and requirements
- Degree qualified in Geophysics, Geology, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in offshore geophysical survey acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
- Proven experience with O&M-related survey methods including.
- Experience managing offshore survey campaigns across large-scale projects.
