Population & human health assessments as part of EIA or Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) processes. Health Impact Assessment (stand alone or within Integrated Impact Assessment) for planning applications, plans and programmes.

How the role works day to day

Work collaboratively across diverse teams of environmental, engineering, planning and stakeholder engagement specialists, to deliver high quality work in the following related fiel. Excellent Report Writing Skills. A good understanding of key concepts such as wider determinants of health, health inequalities, vulnerable groups, population health, mitigation hierarchy and EIA process and legis.

What needs to be in place

• Ability to interpret health data and present key health assessment findings in a manner appropriate for a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Membership of a recognised relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA) (Full Membership and Chartership is desirable).
• The opportunity requires someone with experience in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
