As a Senior Highway Engineer (Development Management), the work centres on managing and provide technical direction for team members dealing with all aspects of the highway service. It would suit someone who can bring strong professional approach to the role.
Role overview
Attend/Chair Meetings and answer site queries/design queries in a timely manner. Contributes to the delivery of the programme of works ensuring it is within budget, programme and specified quality.
Main responsibilities
Managing and provide technical direction for team members dealing with all aspects of the highway service. Responsible for budgetary control of specific programmes of work, to ensure value for money. Assisting the Highway Authority with consultations with the Local Planning Authority for proposed developments.

Requirements
- Evidence of continuing professional development and expert knowledge in relevant professional area, membership of a professional institution such as CIHT is desirable.
- Demonstrable knowledge of national guidance, legislation and regulations relating to design and implementation of highway schemes. In particular, expertise in the Highway Act 1980.
- Ensure statutory processes are followed as required if necessary.

- Salary: £42,679 - £50,211 per annum.
