Senior Materials Testing Technician

Senior Materials Testing Technician focuses on cts and our range of independent ukas accredited laboratories provide on-site testing and laboratory services to the construction, quarry products and civil engineering industries.

What the role involves

• CTS and our range of independent UKAS accredited laboratories provide on-site testing and laboratory services to the construction, quarry products and civil engineering industries.
• Also provide leadership and guidance to field-based teams, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.
• Conduct on-site testing of construction materials (concrete, asphalt, soil, etc.) according to UK industry standards (BS, EN, ASTM).
• Perform tests including plate bearing tests, DCP’s, HSV’s, NDG’s, various asphalt related testing and concrete cube making.
• Record and evaluate material performance, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Collaborate with site teams to resolve material-related issues.

Skills and requirements

• 5 years of field-based experience in materials testing.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead a team of technicians.
