What the role involves
- Leading the mechanical design of machinery, including stators, rotors, assemblies, upgrades, and retrofit projects.
- Provide engineering leadership across all project phases, working closely with clients and stakeholders.
- Use simulation and modelling tools to validate performance and compliance with requirements.
- Overseeing and participate in testing activities, both in-factory and on-site.
- Carry out diagnostics, condition analysis, and life-cycle evaluations, producing clear technical reports.
- Delivering service and maintenance support to ensure reliability and long-term asset performance.
Skills and requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in detailed design of rotating machinery such as motors, generators, turbines, pumps, or similar equipment.
- Strong expertise in mechanical design, simulation, and testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with CAD engineers and draughtsmen to review engineering drawings.
