Amica Care Trust
Are you a Senior Nurse, or an experienced Registered Nurse ready to take the next step, who wants to lead great care rather than just manage tasks?
At Amica Care Trust, we are a values led charity putting residents, families and staff at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a Senior Nurse who wants to play a meaningful leadership role, with the time and space to do it well.
About the role
As Senior Nurse, you will be a clinical leader supporting and mentoring the nursing and care teams while working closely with the Registered Manager and leadership team.
This role includes one supernumerary day per week, providing dedicated time for leadership, mentoring, oversight and quality improvement, rather than being fully allocated to shifts.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and support safe, high quality clinical care
- Mentor nurses and senior carers, sharing knowledge and confidence
- Use your supernumerary time for leadership activities, audits, development and reflection
- Contribute to clinical decision making and service improvement
- Be part of a supportive, open and no blame culture
- Develop your leadership skills, with scope for progression
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Has experience in older people's care
- Has senior nursing experience, or the confidence and potential to step into a senior role
- Leads with empathy, professionalism and integrity
- Wants to make a genuine difference within a charity led organisation
If you are a Registered Nurse who feels ready to step up but have not yet held a formal Senior Nurse title, we would still like to hear from you. Development and support can be provided for the right person.
Why Amica
- Charity led and values driven organisation
- Protected supernumerary time to lead effectively
- Supportive leadership and genuine teamwork
- Strong focus on wellbeing, learning and doing the right thing
- A culture where your voice is heard and respected
Informal and confidential conversations are welcomed. Please get in touch for an initial chat, with no obligation to apply.
