Senior Planning Engineer

The Senior Planning Engineer position centres on developing and maintaining detailed programmes in P6 from first principles including resource loading. It would suit someone who can bring strong professional approach to the role.

Where ownership sits

Will be based out of our head office in Kilsyth or Inverness and regular visits to sites in the North of Scotland will be required. Competent in the use of various planning software, P6 is a must.

Developing and maintaining detailed programmes in P6 from first principles including resource loading. Integration and management of sub-contractor and supplier programmes with our own. Coordinating with estimators and commercial teams on all programme aspects.

What the role depends on

• Must have at least 5 years’ planning experience and will require the ability to communicate and manage own workload and support Planning Engineers within a portfolio of projects.
• Can demonstrate experience of working closely with site construction teams and understanding of each "customer's" programme requirements.
• A qualification in Civil Engineering/Construction to HND level or equivalent is preferred but not essential.

Practical details

• Update and monitor project progress, compile reports against project and contract requirements.
• Experience of delivering programme under the NEC form of contract is preferable.
