• Assess and evaluate planning applications, enforcement cases, and appeals.
• Preparing reports and recommendations for Planning Committee and delegated decisions.
• Provide planning advice to applicants, agents, councillors, and the public.
• Conduct site visits and investigate breaches of planning control.
• Present cases at Planning Committee meetings, appeals, hearings, and public inquiries.
• Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Confirmed role details

• We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swale and Maidstone to assist with the appointment of a Senior Planning Officer, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be ex.
• £154.40 - £202.64 per day.
• Involves managing complex planning cases, attending committee meetings, negotiating with stakeholders, and supporting junior team members.
