Skills and requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Power Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience, with a strong emphasis on practical dynamic model development beyond simulation studies.
• Proven expertise in developing and validating models for inverter-based resources, renewable energy systems (including BESS, solar PV, and hybrid plants), as well as power plant co.
• Prior experience as a Compliance Engineer or completing grid compliance studies would be beneficial.

Confirmed role details

• Maintain dynamic simulation models for PCE BESS, renewables, inverter-based resources, and plant controllers using PSCAD, DIgSILENT, PowerFactory, and similar tools.
• Build and refine models from first principles to accurately represent control algorithms, protection schemes, and plant behaviour.
• Optimize model parameters to ensure grid stability and improve standalone BESS performance.
• Convert simulation algorithms into practical software modules (Python or similar) for automated workflows and faster delivery.
