Senior Product Manager
Job description
What You'll Do:
As Senior Product Manager, Optimization Product, you will own the vision and strategy for how Criteo empowers advertisers to maximize campaign outcomes at scale. You will define the future of our optimization offerings, from ML-powered bidding and intelligent automation to emerging AI capabilities, ensuring advertisers achieve their business goals across all channels. This is a strategic role where you'll manage a lean team of product managers, translate market needs into innovative product strategy and influence the direction of Criteo's demand offerings.
Own the product vision and multi-year roadmap for campaign optimization, defining how advertisers achieve measurable business outcomes through ML-powered bidding, intelligent automation, and performance-driven optimization
Shape the future of advertiser outcomes, driving strategic initiatives that fundamentally improve how campaigns deliver ROAS, scale efficiently, and adapt to market dynamics across channels.
Define Criteo's AI strategy for optimization, exploring how emerging AI capabilities can unlock performance opportunities and advertiser experiences
Partner with customers, Data Science, and Engineering to identify marketplace opportunities, translate advertiser challenges into scalable technical solutions, and make strategic tradeoffs between sophistication, time-to-market, and platform innovation
Drive the optimization roadmap, working with partner teams to evolve bidding algorithms, pacing systems, and automation capabilities that differentiate Criteo in the market
Achieve cross-functional alignment on optimization priorities—balancing immediate advertiser needs with platform investments, competitive positioning, and where the industry is heading
Be the strategic voice for optimization, presenting vision, progress, and business impact to senior leadership and key customers, influencing product direction across the organization
Who You Are:
Customer-obsessed: You're genuinely curious about what advertisers are trying to achieve and why. You seek out customer conversations, dig into their pain points, and build products that drive their success. You validate assumptions through customer data and anecdote vs. your intuition
Domain expert: You have deep knowledge of campaign optimization, bid management, and programmatic advertising. You understand auction dynamics, ML model behavior, budget pacing algorithms, and how optimization systems impact advertiser performance. You know the competitive landscape and can articulate where different platforms excel
Product fundamentals: 5+ years in product management with proven ability to make smart tradeoffs, prioritize ruthlessly, work effectively with engineering and data science teams, and deliver results
Technical depth: Comfortable discussing ML models, bid optimization algorithms, experimentation frameworks, and system architecture with data scientists and engineers. You can bridge between technical complexity and business value
Analytical rigor: You are a data-driven decision maker who interprets experiment results and performance data correctly, and knows when to trust data vs. when to dig deeper.
Strategic thinker and team leader: You see the bigger picture and understand how optimization fits into the broader advertiser journey, where the industry is heading, and how to balance short-term wins with long-term platform investments. You have previous experience managing lean teams
Bias for action: You move fast and iterate based on learnings. You're comfortable with ambiguity and don't need perfect information to make progress
Influential storyteller: Excellent written and verbal skills. You can explain complex technical concepts simply, build alignment across diverse stakeholders, and influence without authority
