Senior Quantity Surveyor focuses on provide and control the strategy of commercial contacts with client’s representatives.

  • Provide and control the strategy of commercial contacts with client’s representatives.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with the project team including the Client, Project Managers and Designers.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant qualification (Degree, HNC/D).
  • Relevant Professional qualification (CICES/RICS).

Confirmed role details

  • Excelling in contract negotiation for optimized project profitability.
  • Provide commercial contact with supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings, contract vetting and input to subcontract documents.
  • Be responsible for the timely production of appropriate levels of applications for payments in accordance with the provisions of the conditions of contract.
  • Experience of NEC forms of contract.

  • Monitoring the timely production of reliable cost performance data.

Additional role context

  • EGL2 project is a JV with Hitachi Energy (HEBAM) and 5-year project which will see the creation of a 525kV, 2GW high voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea transmission cable from Pe.
  • This will be the longest HVDC Cable in the UK and the UK’s single largest transmission project ever, providing enough power for 2 million UK homes.
  • A living away allowance will be provided for working away from home along with other package benefits.
