What the role involves

• Oversee global regulatory compliance processes for cosmetics across UK, EU, USA, and South America markets.
• Interpret and apply cosmetic legislation, providing clear regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Review raw materials and formulations for compliance with regional legislation and ethical claims (cruelty-free, vegan, sustainability, plastic reduction).
• Review, and approve Product Information Files (PIFs) and Technical Files to meet market-specific requirements.
• Managing submissions and notifications.
• Act as primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, distributors, and key retail customers on compliance matters.

Candidate fit

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 4–6 years’ regulatory experience within the cosmetics or personal care industry.
• Strong working knowledge of UK Cosmetics Regulation, EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, US cosmetic legislation, Middle East, ANZ and relevant South American frameworks.
