Design and execute laboratory-scale purification and primary recovery studies to support process and technology developmentPerform chromatography and filtration experiments, analysing complex datasets to generate meaningful insightsEvaluate and optimise primary recovery technologies to improve process efficiency and performanceContribute to the assessment and implementation of emerging downstream processing technologiesDeliver high-quality technical reports, documentation, and scientific recommendationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Analytical, Upstream, and Manufacturing Science & TechnologyMaintain high standards of data integrity, safety, and laboratory organisation while supporting continuous improvement initiativesWhat we are looking for
A degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualification advantageous)Practical laboratory experience in downstream processing, including chromatography and filtration techniquesStrong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and draw clear conclusionsKnowledge of DSP unit operations, including process optimisation and troubleshootingAbility to design experiments and apply scientific principles to solve technical challengesStrong communication and report-writing skills, with attention to detail and qualityA collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective working relationships and contribute to team successAbout Lonza
