Senior Supervising Social Worker
Senior Supervising Social Worker focuses on work with foster parents to ensure they fully understand the fostering task, competencies, and expected standards, including internal policies and procedures.
What the role involves
- Work with foster parents to ensure they fully understand the fostering task, competencies, and expected standards, including internal policies and procedures.
- Work in partnership with local authorities and other professionals to support children, young people, and foster parents, contributing to all relevant meetings.
- Ensure each child and foster parent is fully compliant in respect of all key documentation.
- Participate in an ‘out of hours’ support service on a rota basis.
Skills and requirements
- A Social Work qualification.
- A comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with young people and adults.
- Proven ability to produce a high standard of report writing.
Confirmed role details
- Company Car or £2,000 Car Allowance.
- 30 days’ Annual Leave (rising to 35 days with length of service) + Bank Holidays.
