What the role involves
- Play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, re-engage with education, and achieve meaningful academic progress through personalised 1:1 support.
- Delivering engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's individual needs.
- Plan lessons that promote academic progress, confidence, and independence.
- Monitoring pupil progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools, and local authorities.
- Encourage pupils to develop resilience, engagement, and a positive attitude towards learning.
Skills and requirements
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel reliably between tuition locations.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE and/or Key Stage 2 SATs preparation.

- Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities.
- Travel to pupils' homes, schools, or community venues across Ely (CB6) and the surrounding areas is required.
- This role covers Ely (CB6), Littleport, Soham, Chatteris, March, Witchford, Sutton, Haddenham, Mepal, Stretham, and nearby areas.
