Service Engineer focuses on ensure conformance with manufacturer’s specification.

What the role involves

  • Ensure conformance with manufacturer’s specification.
  • Attending breakdowns and fault finding on machines.
  • Accurately completing all relevant paperwork daily on a phone or tablet.
  • Accurately ordering your parts and working closely with the parts department.
  • Helping to train and mentor apprentice engineers.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant technical, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, gas, plumbing, or engineering experience may be required.

Candidate fit

  • Relevant qualifications e.g. City and Guild, NVQ or SVQ in Construction Plant.
  • Experience in plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work well in a busy environment.
