Service Engineer
Service Engineer focuses on carry out mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, fit-out, servicing, and installation of products.
What the role involves
- Carry out mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, fit-out, servicing, and installation of products.
- Undertake servicing, commissioning, handovers, fault finding, and maintenance work on customer sites.
- Supporting initial installations and production fit-out activities within the factory when site servicing work is not scheduled.
- Work from mechanical and electrical drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Organise site requirements and equipment before leaving the factory to ensure efficient and professional service delivery.
- Submit detailed service and commissioning reports following customer visits.
Skills and requirements
- Time-served technician/engineer with a minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in fit-out, servicing, commissioning, installation, and site-based engineering work.
- This role is approximately a 70/30 split in favour of mechanical engineering, therefore strong mechanical assembly, fit-out, and servicing experience is essential.
- Good working knowledge of electrical, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems would be highly beneficial.
- You do not need to be fully electrically qualified, but you should be comfortable working around electrical components, reading electrical drawings, and supporting fault-finding ac.
Confirmed role details
- £35,000- £45,000 per year DOE.
- 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
