Service Manager

Service Manager focuses on leading a new team to enable the person you are supporting to live a happy and fulfilled life in their own community.

What the role involves

• Leading a new team to enable the person you are supporting to live a happy and fulfilled life in their own community.
• This will require you to do some front line support work with the individuals we support.
• Ensure that the service is fully compliant.
• Observing staff to ensure high standards are continuously met.
• Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are met.
• Liaising with the families and other stakeholders of the people we support.

Skills and requirements

• Having strong interpersonal skills will be essential for this role with the ability to build effective relationships with staff and the people we support.
• To be considered for this role you must have experience and knowledge within the social care sector, working with people with autism, Mental Health and behaviours that challenge.
• You should also have experience leading teams in Learning Disability services and knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support would be an advantage & you must be competent in using IT.

Confirmed role details

• An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to join our Barnsley Services on a permanent, Full Time basis (37.5 hours per week).
• You may need to cover the odd shift in case of emergency.
