Sessional Worker

Sessional Worker focuses on supporting and supervising young people involved in community-based programmes.

What the role involves

• Supporting and supervising young people involved in community-based programmes.
• Acting as an Appropriate Adult for young people in police settings (training provided where required).
• Helping young people engage with education, training, employment and key services (e.g. housing, benefits, appointments).
• Encouraging participation in positive activities such as leisure, cultural and sporting opportunities.
• Supporting early intervention and prevention initiatives.
• Working with young people transitioning from care into independence.

Skills and requirements

• This role involves working directly with children and young people and is therefore subject to an enhanced DBS check.
