What the role involves

• Safely manoeuvring vehicles and trailers within the yard.
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers.
• Ensuring vehicles are positioned correctly for loading/unloading.
• Conducting basic vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Working closely with the warehouse and transport teams to maintain efficient operations.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations at all times.

Skills and requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence preferred (may consider experienced shunters without).
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card (if applicable).
• Previous shunting or yard experience is essential.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures.

Confirmed role details

• £16.50 per hour (Monday-Friday AM shifts).
• £19.50 per hour (Weekends).
