Job description
As a Social Sciences Teacher (ECT), the work centres on teaching Psychology and/or Sociology across KS4–KS5, developing your skills through excellent departmental guidance and mentoring. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with learners to the role.
Who the work supports
An exciting position is available for a Social Sciences ECT to join an Ofsted Outstanding school in Bedfordshire starting January 2026. As an ECT, you’ll receive structured training sessions and coaching from experienced practitioners to help you establish effective classroom practice.
How support shows up
Teach Psychology and/or Sociology across KS4–KS5, developing your skills through excellent departmental guidance and mentoring. supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment. Able to support learners with patience and structure.
What needs to be in place
- QTS (or pending) and degree in Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
- Passion for Social Sciences and engaging teaching methods.
- Commitment to continuous professional improvement.
