Social Worker focuses on delivering a statutory safeguarding social work service to children, young people, and their families in line with current legislation and hartlepool borough council procedures.

What the role involves

• Delivering a statutory safeguarding social work service to children, young people, and their families in line with current legislation and Hartlepool Borough Council procedures.
• Undertake assessments, Section 47 enquiries.
• Care planning, and reviews, ensuring that the voice of the child is central to all decision‑making.
• Provide direct social work intervention to support children and families in crisis or at risk of breakdown.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies to develop and implement effective support and safety plans.
• Maintaining accurate and timely case records and reports in line with professional standards.

Skills and requirements

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
• Free DBS and compliance service.
• Twice weekly payroll and ‘Faster Pay’ service, getting you paid more quickly.
