- Conduct initial assessments of safeguarding referrals received from professionals and the public.
- Liaise with partner agencies (e.g., police, health, education) to gather relevant information for decision-making.
- Analysing risk and protective factors to determine the appropriate level of intervention.
- Make threshold decisions in line with local safeguarding procedures and statutory guidance.
- Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations for next steps, including Early Help, Child in Need, or Child Protection pathways.
- Maintaining accurate and timely case records using case management systems.
Skills and requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
- Post-qualified experience in MASH, child protection, or frontline children’s services.
- Free DBS and compliance service.
