- MASH Family Help Team to identify risks, strengths, needs, and appropriate interventions.
- Assess safeguarding concerns and identify levels of risk to ensure children are protected from harm, abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
- Provide support and guidance to families to improve parenting capacity, family stability, and outcomes for children.
- Ensure all practice is child-centred, strengths-based, anti-discriminatory, and promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Participate in supervision, training, reflective practice, and continuous professional development activities.
Skills and requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work (BA, BSc, MA, or Diploma in Social Work).
- Post-qualification experience working as a qualified Social Worker within children's social care, safeguarding, early help, or family support services.
- Proven experience undertaking child and family assessments, safeguarding interventions, and risk management.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, child protection procedures, and statutory frameworks relating to children and families.
