Software Degree Apprentice

Software Degree Apprentice focuses on is suitable for someone at the software applications level and will be supporting.

What the role involves

• Is suitable for someone at the software applications level and will be supporting.
• Develop software for the next generation of underwater vehicles.
• Develop on the existing codebase and products.
• Degree learning will need to be supplemented with additional skills such as C++ programming, simulation tools and robotics knowledge.
• Design reviews, documenting detailed design, implementing code and unit to integration level testing.

Skills and requirements

• English & Maths GCSE at grade 4 or above.
• Alongside, GCSEs/A-Level/HNC A level 3 qualification in a suitable subject area (see below) at grade C or PASS.
• Knowledge/interest of at least one software language software languages such as C, C++, Javascript, Python etc.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
