What the role involves

• Curriculum Delivery: Teaching Spanish across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (AQA/Edexcel), with the opportunity to lead A-Level modules on Hispanic society, political history, and art.
• Grammar & Syntax: Helping students master the logic of the Spanish language, from basic verb conjugations to the sophisticated use of the subjunctive mood and complex tenses.
• Phonics & Oracy: Explicitly teaching Spanish phonics to ensure students develop high levels of pronunciation accuracy and the confidence to engage in spontaneous conversation.
• Cultural Integration: Designing lessons that explore the traditions, geography, and socio-economic contexts of the 21 Spanish-speaking countries.
• Differentiated Support: Utilizing scaffolding and high-frequency language modelling to ensure that all learners, including those with SEN, can experience the "quick wins" of langua.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Spanish or a related field (Native or near-native fluency is essential).

• Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.
