About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping pupils develop confidence, communication skills, and cultural understanding.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Developing pupils’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills

  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress

  • Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations

  • Contributing to curriculum development within the department

  • Supporting extracurricular activities such as language clubs, trips, or cultural events

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have strong subject knowledge in Spanish

  • Be confident teaching across multiple key stages

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills

  • Be passionate about language education and pupil success

  • Work effectively within a collaborative department
